Your privacy on Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection

The primary purpose of the Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection is to provide a forum for our alumni to stay in touch with the company and other alumni. We want you to feel secure when visiting our site and are committed to maintaining your privacy when doing so.

The Acumen Solutions Alumni Web Site is a private site available to only Acumen Solutions alumni and employees. Please do not give out your username or password to anyone. We also ask that you be sensitive to others and not disclose personal information on individuals in the directory to anyone.

The following provides an overview of how we protect your privacy during your visit.

What information does the Acumen Solutions Connection Alumni gather?

The Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection collects information in several ways: Some personal information is gathered when you register. When you set up your profile, we ask for your name, home address, email address, and employer. Once you register, you are given an Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection user ID and password and are able to take full advantage of the Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection's offerings.

We may also ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you fill in your personal profile, apply for a job, or when you send us news about you. If you contact the Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection we may keep a record of that correspondence. Your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection account can be deleted or deactivated, but doing so will result in not being able to access any members-only area of the Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection. You may send a request to delete your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection account in an email to alumni@acumensolutions.com. Please include your name, username, and password.

Residual information will remain within our archive records.

What are my choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of my information?

We use contact information to communicate periodically with you about event invitations and publications we feel might be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive such mailings, please contact us at alumni@acumensolutions.com.

Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection does not sell or rent user information to anyone. We will notify you at the time of data collection or transfer if your data will be shared with a third party and you will always have the option of not permitting the transfer. If you do not wish to allow your data to be shared, you can choose not to use a particular service or not to participate in certain promotions or contests. The foregoing not withstanding, we reserve the right to transfer data in connection with sale or disposition of all or part of our business

What about sensitive personal data?

We generally do not seek to collect sensitive personal data through this site. If we do seek to collect such data, we will ask you to consent to our proposed uses of the data. We may also collect some sensitive personal data incidentally. By providing us with unsolicited sensitive personal data, you consent to our using the data subject to applicable law as described in this notice. The references to "sensitive personal data" are to the various categories of personal data identified by European and other data privacy laws as requiring special treatment, including in some circumstances the need to obtain explicit consent. What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?

Your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection account information is password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information. You may edit your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection account information by using your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection ID and password.

We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember to sign out of your Acumen Solutions Alumni Connection account and close your browser window when you have finished your use of the site. Congrats to Christy Willis Blettner and her husband on the birth of twins, Rhett and Kate born January 9, 2008.

Congrats to Kevin Mahoney and his wife on the birth of their daughter, Caitlin, born in February 2008. Kevin is currently working for the Major League Baseball in NYC.

Congrats to Brian Davis on his engagement to Jill Aitoro and their upcoming wedding in June 2008.
